Housing for Everyone

Our city remains #UnitedInCrisis. As we enter the month of April, our city and country continue to operate under the COVID-19 public health emergency.

People are unable to work, our healthcare resources are being stretched, and despite tens of thousands of open units in SF private housing (hotels, luxury condos, etc.), many remain unhoused or at risk of being forced from their homes. In this moment of Shelter in Place and mass fear around public health, no one should be forced to work for fear of losing their home or not having a safe place to stay.

Take these immediate actions to protect our community:

  1. Join the April 1st Day of Action to cancel rent and mortgages, and share using the hashtags #UnitedInCrisis, #CancelRent, #CancelMortgages, #HomesForAll
  2. Call Mayor Breed, and demand she use her emergency power to house homeless people in vacant hotel rooms.
Call the Mayor’s Office at (415) 554-6141 with this message (if voicemail is full, please email the office at MayorLondonBreed@sfgov.org)
“Protect homeless people from COVID-19. Take 9,000 Rooms for every single homeless San Franciscan NOW!”
